Install from source with PGXS. You need a server that [can run pgjev](/docs/getting-started/where-it-runs) and `pg_config` on `PATH`.

```bash
git clone https://github.com/realZachi/pg-jev.git && cd pg-jev
make install
```

Point `make` at another `pg_config` if the one on `PATH` is not the server you want:

```bash
make install PG_CONFIG=/path/to/pg_config
```

Then, as a superuser (`plpython3u` is untrusted):

```sql
CREATE EXTENSION jev CASCADE;
```

`CASCADE` matters. The control file requires `plpython3u`, but Postgres only creates a required extension for you when you say `CASCADE`; without it a fresh database fails with `required extension "plpython3u" is not installed`. Then check with `SELECT jev_version();`.
